In early 2008 The Hedge Schools became the musical vehicle for the songs of former Ten Speed Racer bass player Patrick M Barrett. The debut record, ‘Never Leave Anywhere’ was recorded and produced by his former bandmate Joe Chester. At ‘The End Of A Winding Day’ is the follow up to the 2008 debut and was released in January 2015. Comprising 9 songs, it was recorded and produced again by Joe Chester, in instalments, at his Blessington Street Studios. It features contributions on trumpet from Donagh Molloy from Lisa Hannigan’s band and the cello work of Kevin Murphy from Seti the First and Adrian Crowley’s band.

John Cummins has been writing for over 20 years and has been performing since early 2010. He has been Leinster Poetry Slam Champion for the past three years and the 2013/2014 All-Ireland Poetry Slam Champion. John is often a featured artist at showcase nights around his native Dublin as well as Galway and Cork. He has also performed at festivals across the country, including the Electric Picnic, Indiependence, and Knockanstockan. He has just announced that he will be performing at this years acclaimed Other Voices in Dingle. He contributes regularly to the arts show Arena on RTE Radio 1. He loves the spoken and written word and cannot wait to stop talking in the third.

Pine The Pilcrow released their critically acclaimed debut EP in March and are making big waves in the Irish music scene. The piano, cello and violin 3 piece have received early reviews describing their music as “stunning”, “cinematic” and “atmospheric, melodic gold”. Recently nominated for Best Newcomer at the 2016 Pure M awards things are looking bright for this Dublin based folk trio.
