Bright Falls is the project of Thurles songwriter Eddie McCormack who blends Americana music with alternative-country, while taking a narrative approach to songwriting in the vein of Drive-By Truckers, Jim White, Jason Isbell & John Prine.
Bright Falls debut E.P ‘Logging’ has moments of raw rock and roll in ‘Bad Habits’ & ‘Preacher Casey’ alongside nods to classic country and Americana in ‘Photo Frame’ and ‘Juniper’ with intricate organ work and pedal steel lines running throughout the EP. Bright Falls is intent on bringing the art of storytelling back into songwriting.
Bright Falls recently opened Féile ‘19 in Semple Stadium Thurles and has supported acts including Ryan Sheridan and The Frank & Walters.
Mill Road is a young indie folk/rock hybrid playing gigs consistently over the last year in and around Tipperary. Two girls, two guys writing original songs with an eclectic mix of influences. They release their debut EP this March.
