This concert is a tribute to the women who have inspired me all through my career. Many of these giants of 20th Century music were family friends, familiar to me as a child growing in Philadelphia because my father was a musician who shared the stage with many of the greats, such as Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan.
