In August 2014 Padser Harris opened the stable doors of his Smithfield yard for a Barn Dance to raise funds for Temple St Children’s Hospital.
Padser to date had ran over 25 Dublin City Marathon’s fundraising till his wonky knee gave in and wouldn’t allow him run anymore. Not to let this injury prevent him helping Temple St he decided to gather together musicians from The Cobblestone and with the assistance of Tom Mulligan, Mick O’Grady, Nova & Frank Lunny, Eddie MacNamara and many more a memorable day ensued.
With all the connections Padser has at the top, his friends in RTÉ were on hand to record the Barn Dance seisiún and with the kind sponsorship of Vincent Donohue – Bright Analytics, Smithfield a DVD has been produced.
