PJ Hernon in Concert

One of traditional music’s best-known accordion players has revisited one of his old recordings. Veteran of the stage and studio PJ Hernon has remastered and reissued his album ‘The First House in Connacht’ originality brought out on cassette in 1984. The Connemara native has been a resident in Gurteen, Co Sligo for many years and has close associations with the Coleman Music Centre and with lots of the musical projects worked on there, since its beginnings. This Friday night presents a rare opportunity to see Hernon live in Dublin. Joining PJ in the Cobblestone are Anthony Waldron flute/ whistles: Richard Waldron mandolin/ banjo: Eddie Mc Dermott guitar/vocal.
