Dublin fingerstyle guitarist and singer Robert Doyle makes his first appearance at The Cobblestone for the launch of his new album ‘Lig Amach’. Featuring a mix of traditional and original material the album showcases his distinctive approach to writing and arranging for the guitar. As a past student of French-Algerian master musician Pierre Bensusan he continues to explore fingerstyle guitar while also displaying accomplished vocal performances. Since the release of his debut album in 2011 he has continued to perform regular solo concerts drawing influences from not only traditional Irish music but also from African and other folk styles. With powerful live shows, and the musicianship displayed on this new album, Doyle looks set to further his reputation as an acclaimed exponent in the genre.
