Whistle

Energised from performing to packed houses at the renowned Dunmore East Bluegrass Music Festival, Whistle are delighted to play at The Cobblestone and launch their EP which features 4 tracks (2 originals and 2 covers).

Whistle are also thrilled to welcome Niamh Keane to open the show on the night.

Whistle are a six-piece band from Dublin whose musical performances displays their weakness for Americana style, folk and roots originals as well as showing a healthy respect for other artists by performing covers encompassing a wider range of music genres.

Whistle have had one of their busiest years playing in popular music venues around the City as well as at music festivals across the country.  Worthy of a mention too is a very successful live social media performance streamed from a mystery location.

As well as strong vocals, numerous Instruments are used to create their unparalleled sound which include guitar, bass, mandolin, harmonica, banjo, accordion, percussion and completing the line-up, is the violin.  With a band of six, musical influences will of course be broad and plentiful, notable ones include the Avett Brothers, Neil Young, Tom Waits as well as Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen.

Doors are at 8.00pm and admission is free – copies of the CD will be available at the door.
